It is raining “pussy” and “bitch” again
Wealth Cat?
I have seen 40cm tall wealth cat placed at the cashier counter before. But does this 5cm little kitten I photographed help? Maybe the strength will be 8 times smaller. As Barney said, the bigger the better, think big make big money. So now I figure out the reason Playboy magazine is such a huge success- because they have all the big pussies, hahaha!
Holy Snap
Last Saturday I went to a temple on a mission. I needed to capture some Chinese traditional shots for publishing use. It was coincidentally the celebration day for the Buddhist. Looking around anxiously to take the best shot, I could feel the joy and holiness of the prayers. And the temple that was once a run down building has now become a luxurious palace of the goddess. Admiring the glorious interior while snapping the photos, I felt as if I was cleansed and enlightened. It was indeed a wonderful Saturday.
Like a Virgin
I may have forgotten what the aperture is for and what shutter speed got to do with lights and so on. But one thing is for sure, photos, images and pictures qualities do affect the overall design.
We all know that when we are granted with a photographer, we simply ignore the photography skills. But lucky to me, the photographer is leaving the company soon. Of course I am not praising his resignation. But his leaving has pushed me to shorten my “Honey Moon” and get into real work. As I am the one who “possibly” handling his work after his leaving, I have to pick up all his skills in a month. Sounds silly but I picked up quite fast because I knew the basic at first place but I need to brush up with the skills which he said through constant training and experiment.
Soon I realised that, a photo is taken with lots of efforts and sweats (the camera itself has ached my arms when I held it without tripod). From the light setting to arrangement of the layout, it requires a full attention. Sometimes it takes hours to manage the light source. My colleague has done all these by his own? Amazing!
Fortunately, he is a good teacher. He is willing to share his skills to me and guide me to achieve quality photos in one month. He even tested me of shooting without using flash. He said that will train my knowledge in adjusting the aperture and the shutter speed.
Now, as to thank him for teaching me all these, I presented him my two very first time taken product shots. It is as if the first time I touch photography, although I have learnt the basic before. But this time, it is really special, I feel like a professional photographer.
