It’s Bruno’s, not Brunos

The same client, the same me, the tougher demand, and of course, the higher expectation of logo personality. This time, the logo has to project the upper class grand western style. And the name “Bruno’s”, which has been a very common name for western restaurants, was my mission. Research, inspiration, and a little copycat, and there we have the logo.  untitled-2.jpg

A private rendezvous

“Prive” is a very european style gourmet food restaurant where you can enjoy the strong european accent of environment with of course, the truly western gourmet. Ah ha, you think it is cool! But for me, it is a new challenge. I supposed Malaysians are pretty stereotypical when it comes to design. For example, chinese character for chinese restaurant. Western is always portrayed by that curve and flowery nouveau style or you can trace back the historical renaissance antique design. So the client has requested a very traditional western design element to be put into the logo and I have done my good job to it.  The client was delighted with the proposal and chose the first one.  prive-logo.jpg

Small but Strong, Short but Powerful

It is undeniable that signage and logo are powerful “something” that keep the society in order or sometimes, misleading. For example, you can choose any toilets in your house but you will only go to the toilet with a “male” signage at the mall. However, you may lose your way in KL if you follow the signboard.

Logo represents the company. Like Shell, after years of inventing and revamping, it finally comes out with a simple shell symbol. Louis Vuitton has used the two alphabet “LV” to make us remember it easily, so does the pirated dealer at Petaling Street.

My friend wanted me to help him to create a logo for his new business. He was going to sell organic foods. So i guess earthy and greeny colour would match the concept. And also, I put in botanic element to make it look natural and freshy.

I handed to him and he was pretty delighted… at the end, he failed to set up his business. I guess that has something to do with my logo, bad feng shui.
